STORY

  • The game is played indoors in a single team of 2 to 4 people with a 50-minute time limit (the total experience can last up to 120 mins).
  • The experience is designed to support Japanese and English.
  • The game operates with a staggered time, so after one team starts, the next one can play after an interval of 10-15 minutes.

Important Points

    About the Event
  • "Escape from the Witch's House in the Woods" is a game event that can be played by 2-4 players. You will not be grouped with other players, so you can enjoy the game with your own circle of friends. This game cannot be played solo.
  • Turning up late can inconvenience other participants in the same session and you may be denied entry. Please keep that in mind.
  • Generally, no one is allowed to enter or leave the venue during the game.

    • About Tickets
  • All tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable after purchase. Make sure you check the date, time, and read the Important Points very carefully before you buy tickets.
  • Advanced Tickets can be purchased until 11:59PM on the day before the date of participation.
  • If Advanced Tickets for a session are sold out online, there will be no On-the-day Tickets either.

    • Age Guidelines
  • Due to the level of puzzles, the recommended age is 12 and above. Children below age 12 are still allowed to play, but it may be slightly challenging for them.
  • Children of age 6-11 will not be allowed to join the event by themselves. To participate, they must be accompanied by a parent or adult of age 18 and older who is also participating.
  • Children age 5 and below will not be counted as a participant.

    • Continue Option
  • If you run out of time during the first 8 rooms, you can extend your play time by 10 minutes by pressing the continue button displayed on your tablet. The cost is 1,000 yen/player.
  • The Continue Option is not available for the 9th/final room.
  • The Continue Option must be used by all players in the group. All members of the group will be charged. Please consult with each other carefully as a group before making your decision.

    • About Retrying
  • Players who clear the first 8 rooms but fail the final room will receive a "Retry" Card. Bring this card to the reception counter again to buy a special ticket to challenge only the final room again at a cheaper price with a 10-min time limit.
    • *The "Retry Ticket" can only be purchased on the day in cash.
    *You can use the ticket you purchased on another day.
    Since there's no advanced booking available for this ticket type, you may not be able to play if it is too crowded.

    About Cloak
  • There is a cloakroom that can be used to store belongings for a fee (500 yen) at Tokyo Mystery Circus 1F service counter, but as space is limited we recommend that you use public coin lockers.

    • About Clothing
  • You will need to walk around during the game, so please come in comfortable shoes and outfit. We do not recommend wearing skirts or dresses to this game.

    • Photos/Recording
  • You can take photos at the venue.
  • You may share photos from Room 1 (Welcome Hall) and Room 2 (Training Quarters). Revealing any of the puzzles or spoilers is strictly prohibited. Uploading any photos or videos of Room 3 onwards is also not allowed.

    • Regarding Spoilers
  • For the benefit of future guests who will attend the event, it is strictly prohibited to reveal details about the event or event material on blogs, social media sites, or anywhere else online without permission.
    For Room 1 (Welcome Hall) and Room 2 (Training Quarters), you may upload photos of these two rooms as well as the photo spot outside the game area, as well as your thoughts about the game. However, please note that revealing any of the puzzles or spoilers is strictly prohibited.

    • About Multiple Plays
  • The answers will not be revealed if your time runs out, so you can challenge the game again.
    Please buy a new ticket to play the game again if you wish to.

Will I be grouped with other players I don't know?
・No, you will not be grouped with players you do not know. You can play the game with up to 3 other friends!
Can students attend by themselves?
・Children of age 6-11 will not be allowed to join the event by themselves. Children of age 12-14 may join by themselves if they submit a consent form signed by a parent or guardian of age 18 and older. Is this a scary game?
・ There will be no horror elements or sudden surprises. However, there will be dimming of lights, entering narrow or dark spaces, and tension-inducing sounds that add to the mood. As a result, there is a possibility that it may scare some young children.
Can the game be played more than once?
・Yes, it is possible. Please buy a new ticket to play the game again if you wish to. Do note that the contents of the event will remain the same throughout.
I bought tickets for the wrong dates. Can I get a refund?
No changes in date, cancellations, or refunds will be issued after tickets have been purchased. Make sure you check the date, time, and read the Important Points very carefully before you buy tickets.
Are there cases where the event could be cancelled due to weather-related reasons such as typhoons?
・Yes, the game may be cancelled if there is a typhoon or severe weather conditions. To get a refund for your ticket, please check the official website's NEWS section at that time for the announcement. Please note that if the game is cancelled due to severe weather conditions, we are unable to take responsibility for your transportation fee to the venue.
Will everyone be able to escape?
・No, not everyone is guaranteed to escape. It is an honor for only the best puzzle-solvers!
We encourage you to do your best and work well as a team to accomplish this. Even if you fail the first time, you can use the "Continue Option" or "Retry Ticket" to try and beat the game.
Can I use a coupon?
・It is possible to use a coupon. Please see each coupon's individual information to check which games it can be used for.
Can I upload spoilers onto my blog or social media?
・Spoilers are prohibited for this game. Do not upload answers or photos of the puzzles on any social media or digital platform. Please also be careful when you discuss the answers to the game after it has ended. There will be many players on the same floor or facility who have not tried the game yet.
