You unlock door after door, but with no exit in sight. As if taunting you, the rooms continue on. Trapped in a myriad of rooms, will you be able to find your way out?

STORY

You wake up in an unknown room. You search the room, solve the puzzle, and unlock the door. What greets you is the sign "No.2" and another unknown room. No.3......No.4......No.5... You unlock door after door, but with no exit in sight. As if taunting you, the rooms continue on. Trapped in a myriad of rooms, will you be able to find your way out?


What is 9rooms?

"Escape from The NINE ROOMS" ("9rooms") is an interactive game event where you must solve puzzles to escape from 9 different themed rooms in a row. This is the first out of 3 titles in the series. 　　　


GAME DETAILS

  • The game is played indoors in a single team of 1 to 4 people with a 50-minute time limit (the total experience can last up to 120 mins).
  • The experience is designed to support Japanese, English and Simplified Chinese.
  • The pre-game rules and post-game explanation is provided in both Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese, so even first-timers can participate with confidence.
  • The game operates with a staggered time, so after one team starts, the next one can play after an interval of 10-15 minutes.

THINGS TO NOTE

    Recommended Age
  • Due to the level of puzzles, the recommended age is 12 and above.
  • Children below age 12 are still allowed to play, but it may be slightly challenging for them.
  • Children of age 6-11 will not be allowed to join the event by themselves. To participate, they must be accompanied by a parent or adult of age 18 and older who is also participating.
  • Children of age 6 and above will require a ticket to join. Make sure you purchase the right type of ticket that matches the number of people in your group, and don't forget to bring it on the day.
  • Children age 5 and below will not be counted as a participant.
  • Children of age 12-15 may join by themselves if they submit a consent form signed by a parent or guardian of age 18 and older. Download, fill in, and sign the consent form here and bring it to the venue.
    • About the Participation of Pre-school Children
  • Pre-school children can be brought into the game by a guardian who is age 20 and above, and do not require a ticket.
    • About Game Length
  • The game has a time limit of 50 minutes.
  • 9rooms is a series of small rooms you have to escape from. You may have to wait to enter the next room if the group in front of you is still occupying it. In this case, your remaining time will stop counting down.
  • The time taken to complete the game will vary with players.
  • The total estimated time spent at the venue is 60-120 minutes. Please set aside ample time when coming.
    • About the Continue Option
  • You can extend your game play by 10 minutes if you pay an extra 800yen/player.
  • There is no rule to how many times you are allowed to use the Continue Option. However, you may not be allowed to use it multiple times during peak periods and the last session of the day.
  • The Continue Option is not available for the 9th (last) room.
  • The Continue Option must be used by all players in the group.
    • About Group Size
  • This game allows 1-4 players in a group to play.
  • 9rooms lets you play the game with only your friends. You will not be grouped with players you do not know.
    • About Outfit
  • You will need to walk around during the game, so please come in comfortable shoes and outfit. We do not recommend wearing skirts or dresses to this game.
  • The venue does not have shoes or clothes to rent out if you do not come in an appropriate outfit.
  • You will be entering a small room, so please do not bring large bags with you.
    • About Invidivuals with Disabilities
  • This game will require you to use most of your 5 senses. Please check the "Game Limitations" below for more details. If you are still unclear, please send us an inquiry.
    • About Photos/Recording
  • You can take photos at the venue outside the game area. Uploading photos or videos that reveal the puzzles (spoilers) online is strictly prohibited.
    • About Spoilers
  • We ask that you do not upload photos or write about the puzzles (spoilers) online on any platform as it will ruin the game for future players.
    • About Multiple Plays
  • The answers will not be revealed if your time runs out, so you can challenge the game again. Please buy a new ticket to play the game again or use the Revenge Ticket, if you have it, to try only the last room.

※ The special ticket does not allow you the in-game "Continue Option".

  • Reselling of tickets is prohibited under any circumstances.

Will I be grouped with other players I don't know?
・No, you will not be grouped with players you do not know. You can play the game with up to 3 other friends!
Is there an age limit?
・Children of age 6-11 will not be allowed to join the event by themselves. Children of age 12-15 may join by themselves if they submit a consent form signed by a parent or guardian of age 18 and older. Download, fill in, and sign the consent form below and bring it to the venue. DOWNLOAD CONSENT FORM.
Is this a scary game?
・There will be no horror elements or sudden surprises. However, there will be dimming of lights, entering narrow or dark spaces, and tension-inducing sounds that add to the mood. As a result, there is a possibility that it may scare some young children.
Can the game be played more than once?
・Yes, it is possible. Please buy a new ticket to play the game again if you wish to.
Do note that the contents of the event will remain the same throughout.
Can I get tickets at the venue on the day?
・If the session still has available slots, you can buy tickets on the spot to play. However, if the session is sold out online, tickets for that session will not be sold at the venue as well.
I bought tickets for the wrong dates. Can I get a refund?
・No changes in date, cancellations, or refunds will be issued after tickets have been purchased. Make sure you check the date, time, and read the Important Points very carefully before you buy tickets.
Will everyone be able to escape?
・No, not everyone is guaranteed to escape. It is an honor for only the best puzzle-solvers!.
We encourage you to do your best and work well as a team to accomplish this.
Even if you fail the first time, you can use the "Continue Option" or "Retry Ticket" to try and beat the game.
